Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Handyman/Maintenance Technician to perform routine maintenance, repairs, and property upkeep for our apartment community. The ideal candidate will have experience in general maintenance, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and apartment turnover work. The technician will ensure that apartments, common areas, and building systems remain safe, functional, and attractive for residents.
Key Responsibilities
Respond to resident maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner.
Perform repairs involving plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, painting, and appliances.
Prepare vacant units for new residents, including repairs, painting, cleaning, and inspections.
Conduct preventive maintenance on building systems and equipment.
Replace light fixtures, faucets, locks, doors, and other building components.
Troubleshoot HVAC, plumbing, and electrical issues.
Maintain common areas, grounds, and exterior facilities.
Ensure smoke detectors, fire safety equipment, and other safety systems are functioning properly.
Coordinate with outside contractors for specialized repairs when necessary.
Maintain maintenance records, work orders, and inventory of tools and supplies.
Follow all company safety policies and local building regulations.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Previous experience in apartment maintenance, building maintenance, or handyman services.
Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and painting.
Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment safely.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Good customer service and communication skills.
Valid driver's license preferred.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks such as climbing ladders, bending, and standing for extended periods.

Schedule: Part time , Monday–Friday, with occasional on-call emergency maintenance as needed.
$25 per hour will be provided.
For a good candidate Apartment unit will also be provided for rent at concession rate.
