It features Epiphone Alnico Classic PRO™ 4-wire humbuckers, Coil splitting via push/pull controls. The 2016 Epiphone G-400 Pro SG features Alnico Classic Pro pickups with push-pull coil-tapping, allowing you to achieve a variety of tones, including both humbucker and single-coil sounds. This versatility enables you to create a wide range of tones suitable for literally any musical styles. Clean, crunchy, bluesy, rock, hard rock, blues, soaring cleans and that is BEFORE adding any pedals to this tone machine!
It features a Mahogany Body, Mahogany glued-in 24.75” set neck for great sustain and a SlimTaper™ "D" neck profile. The neck has a 42.67mm / 1.68-inch black imitation bone nut (PVC) width with a rosewood neck with pearloaid trapezoid inlays and 22 medium jumbo frets and a 12” fingerboard radius.
The trussrod cover is stamped SG PRO. The bridge is a LockTone™ Tune-o-matic and the Tailpiece is a LockTone™ Stopbar. It features an Epiphone all-metal 3-way pickup selector. Volume & tone controls feature full-size 500KΩ potentiometers with Neck pickup volume with push/pull coil-splitting, Bridge pickup volume with push/pull coil-splitting, a Neck pickup tone and a Bridge pickup tone with all nickel hardware.
Modifications: Locking strap pins were added. An extra strap button has been professionally added to the horn (like the Tommy Iommi SG) eliminating any neck dive or forward roll. The Wilkinson™ Vintage Classics, 14:1 ratio tuners were removed and replaced with Kluson Revolution Vintage style KEDPNC-3801N 19:1 Tuners. This super-lightweight guitar comes in at 6.9 lbs and comes with D’Addario® 10, 13, 17, 26, 36, 46 strings.
