PURPOSE:
The Receiving and Logistics Coordinator needs to have an overall understanding of receiving and shipping practices of
products. They must be able to assist the shipping personnel with all paperwork needed for shipping or receiving products in
the food facility. They must have some knowledge and understanding of entering information in the computer for data entry
detailing daily loading and unloading data for various departments.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
-Receiving inbound trucks for materials and ingredients, including printing QR tags.
-Schedule Customer Pick-up inquiries and maintain loading schedule.
-Communicating and assisting truck drivers with paperwork for inbound loads.
-Assist Logistics Manager with arranging transportation for inbound/outbound shipments.
-Entering work order tickets for Shipping/Receiving needs.
-Any other work assigned by the Logistics Manager or other management including overtime when needed.
-Have a functional radio on their person during their entire shift and answering when called by Shipping Supervisor, Shipping
and Receiving Team Leader, Logistics Manager, Forklift Drivers or any other Management.
-Serve as a back-up to the Shipping Supervisor in his or her absence.
SKILLS:
-GMP Training (New hire and Annual)
-SOP’s for Receiving Program, Shipping Program, and Storage Program (Packaging Supplies, Inventory Control, Stock
Rotation, Raw Materials and Finished Product).
-Knowledge of the Forklift Inspection Form.
-Knowledge of Logistics/Transportation/Shipping.
-Above average computer skills.
-Basic math skills.
-Above average communication skills.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Clean work area and prepare for next shift.
EDUCATION:
Required – High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED)
DESIRED:
-Experience with food manufacturing Principles and implementation.
-1 – 3 years’ production manufacturing experience.
-Must be able to work well both independently and collaboratively.
