We're a small group of martial artists who meet at the park twice a week to practice Pekiti-Tirsia Kali, which is a Filipino style of stick and knife fighting. We're friendly, easygoing, and open to newcomers. Whether you're experienced or not, you're welcome.

See videos of our classes on Youtube:

TIME: Thursdays at 6:00 pm, Saturdays at 10 am.

LOCATION: Kaiser Park, 425 E. Alluvial, Fresno, CA 93720 (On Alluvial just east of Fresno St.).

COST: $50 per month or $10 per single class.

INSTRUCTOR: My name is Wael. I practice and teach Pekiti Tirsia Kali. I also have a 4th degree black belt in Hapkido, 3rd degree in Kempo Karate, 2nd degree in Japanese Jujitsu, and I have 14 years experience in Silat.

MORE INFO: Pekiti-Tirsia Kali (PTK) is a Filipino fighting system that specializes in knife, machete and short sword combat. There is also an empty hand element. All fighting ranges are taught in PTK, but special attention is given to long range and close-quarters combat (as opposed to medium range). PTK is a comprehensive fighting art that deals with all aspects of short to medium-length blade combat, including offense, defense, grip changes, disarms and more.

Our training is done with sticks and training knives. We also sometimes use aluminum training machetes and training swords. Most sessions include knife or stick sparring with protective gear such as goggles, hockey gloves and helmets when appropriate.
