This is a vintage (looks 70s-80s) hard case to store and travel with a cowboy hat. If you’ve got a nice Stetson or other high end hat you fly with that you want to really protect, this case will do you well. Some modest wear but overall decent shape. No key but if you want one, this would use a simple Samsonite-like key and it may be possible to use a generic suitcase key in it.
