This Beautiful Carved Chest is made from Camphor Wood, for those of you who do not know, camphor wood is a very hard wood, which lends itself very well to carving.
However the main reason for using camphor wood is its fragrance it smells a bit like Eucalyptus and this most attractive of smells - repels moths hence its common use in the best quality Blanket Boxes.
It has a clean, all wood interior and NO stains or blemishes at all, which is remarkable given its age honestly.
The carvings are mainly of country scenes, the chest is carved on every side, and comes with the original lock too!
