It's painted on a wood board that's about 3/16 of an inch thick. There are all sorts of interesting and various people and animals, including Napoleon Bonaparte, Lady Liberty, Noah's ark, Moby Dick and Captain Ahab, different types of penguins, seals, and even a polar bear.
Goodkind is still an active painter and has had her work displayed in several notable galleries since the 1980s. She has her own webpage which shows many of her other works and gives you background information about her and her style. You cannot find any of her work listed under $500 now. This is priced for a quick sale.
