LiDestri Foods, Inc., the premier manufacturer of sauces, dips, and salsas in the nation, is seeking an individual for an immediate opening for a Production Supervisor (Shifts - 2nd or 3rd) at our Fresno, CA plant. This position reports to the Production Manager.
General Description:
To supervise the production department with responsibility for production personnel, product quality, cost management, safety, compliance, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and executing production schedules to support customer service objectives. The main duties are overseeing food manufacturing and packaging equipment, supervising personnel to complete the daily production targets; full compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and safety requirements, administrative policies; preventive maintenance / predictive maintenance schedule of equipment; monitoring of equipment, labor reporting, process improvements; yields, and cycle time/yields.
Position Requirements:
-- 1+ years of supervisory experience in a food manufacturing environment, a plus.
-- 3+ years of experience in a food manufacturing environment, a plus.
-- Bachelors or Associates Degree in Business Administration or related discipline, a plus.
-- Good communication skills required; bilingual skills (Spanish/English) preferred.
-- Excellent math, computer (Word, Excel, & E-Mail) and analytical skills, required.
-- Mechanical abilities.
-- Willing to work on 2nd or 3rd shift.
Position Responsibilities:
-- Supervision of production lines and personnel.
-- Monitors, exceeds, and maintains production standards for efficiencies, material waste and quality.
-- Responsible for executing production schedules.
-- Responsible for tracking and improving downtime and cleanup/changeover processes.
-- Inputs, analyzes and communicates quality control data.
-- Observes and enforces safety, GMPs, and allergen programs and attends appropriate training sessions.
-- Must actively participate and lead Continuous Improvement Initiatives.
