NEW! Swing/nightshift childcare hours!
Hi, I've provided child care for over 20 years during the day time hours. Now, with My three children grown, I find myself enjoying the later hours. So, my life partner Mr. Kris and I are now seeking responses from folks needing swing/night shift child care.
We'll still be offering the activities (art, exercise to music, story time) for your child that we always have, and a quiet place for their rest.
We have a dedicated nap room/nursery, with playyard beds and a trundle bed, providing a quiet haven for your children's rest.
Providing childcare for 20 years has been and is a wonderful experience. I have child development education and my own parenting experience of three young adult children. I have letters of recommendation from parents whose child has moved on, and phone numbers for parents who have a child currently in care.
As your reliable childcare provider, I provide conscientious, nurturing care, building the child's self esteem through positive verbal reinforcement. Babies are able to understand alot and I speak to them and do not use "baby talk" with them. They enjoy story time, music time, being held, moving to music, and more.
I'm observant of the child's moods and needs, and tailor each days care and activities to provide a positive experience, for babies and toddlers. I strive to challenge the child in developing their verbal skills by name identification and repetition, with big smiles for positive reinforcement.
I read with the children, stimulating their cognitive abilities with active verbal and visual input. Through repetition and comparison, the child learns to discern and identify objects, animals and persons. Through music and happy play, I help them to learn proper and positive interpersonal skills, guiding them in developing friendships throughout life.
As your your baby or toddler grows, we will have fun during Story time, Art, Puppet play, enjoying Musical Instruments, Children's Music, Play-Doh, a toddler Wonder Horse, Block Building, and Baby/Toddler Games. I will assist your toddler (the babies get to be a part of this too) in developing their attention span and their interest in learning pre-school academic skills by "playing school", in preparation for their future.
And of course, I have lots of indoor and outdoor toys for them to enjoy!
My hours have been 7 :30 am to 6 pm, now expanded to serve swing/night shift workers.
The adult/child ratio is a maximum of 1 to 5.
My rates are negotiable and include meals, wipes, DC Insurance and diapers for first month.
