I really don't know much about the plow. It has no writing, stamping or markings on it except for the 'hitch' at the front where it was apparently attached to the harness which was then attached to the horse or mule. The casting on the hitch appears to be �W80R�.

It is clearly very old and original. The wooden handles which were likely made of hickory have gracefully aged to the point of becoming quite fragile but are still complete and add greatly to the charm of this piece. I had considered spraying them with polyurathane or some other wood preserver and protector but the wood has lasted through being transported and then moved around the yard several times during the 5 years we've had it and it's all in exactly the same condition it was when we got it. So I'll leave it to the next owner to make that call. We've moved in a different direction with our landscape theme.

You can buy this (almost) fully ready to roll grass catcher. This is a MTD model 601 GrassCatcher.

I bought this used, when I bought my first riding mower last year...however, it did not have the tractor mounting bracket and I was never able to find the make and model of the Grasscatcher. That is, until today. Searching the internet I found that this is the MTD 601 Grasscatcher that may have fit on Toro, MTD, and other riding mowers in the 38"-42" sizes. However, you must verify on your own whether or not it will fit your mower. I have no idea what mowers it will fit.

However, I bought it from a man who said he was using it on a Craftsman riding mower, but the mower was stolen and it had the mounting bracket on the mower.

This MTD 601 is obviously a number of years old and is used. The bags both have patches, but they appear to be fully functionable. You will get everything in the picture.
