The incumbent serves as Supervisory Readjustment Counseling Therapist and is responsible for implementing supervisory, administrative and clinical elements for this program. The incumbent supervises all Vet Center staff to include Social Workers, Readjustment Counseling Therapists, Readjustment Counseling Assistants, Work Study Employees, Volunteer Counselors, and Temporary employees who assist in the accomplishments of the work interacting with veteran clients, and their families in clinical activities to some extent. The incumbent supervises all services intended to cover the wide range of needs experienced by those who have difficulty in making transition from military to civilian life in the community. In addition, the incumbent is responsible for administrative/programmatic Vet Center operations, participation in RCS regional and national committees, work groups and contributions to professional social work objectives within RCS. The incumbent interviews potential candidates for positions within Vet Center, and makes recommendations for appointments and promotions in consultation with the Regional Manager. The incumbents is responsible for identifying and developing training needs of staff and providing administrative and clerical supervision to aid staff development. The incumbent establishes guidelines, observes worker's performance, demonstrates and conducts work performance critiques. The incumbent resolves informal complaints and grievances, develops work improvement plans, and recommends personnel actions as necessary. In addition, the incumbent is responsible for planning and coordinating public relations programs, budgeting for facility, staff, travel and equipment; adhering to program goals. The incumbent also gathers analyses and evaluates statistical data developed from the daily workload of the team. The incumbent is responsible for the protection of sensitive written and electronic data, and responsible for following applicable regulations and instructions regarding access to computerized files, release of access codes, etc.
Compensation: Salary $65,315-$84,913 per annum
