Adams Trail-a-Bike (5-speed) for kids - $135 (millbrook/nees)
We have an Adams Trail-a-Bike for sale for $135 or best offer. It is in good condition and probably only has about 100 miles on it. It was used sporadically for 2 summers on the local bike trails when our daughter was younger. In case you're not familiar with what a trail-a-bike is, it's like a kid's bike without a front wheel. In place of a front wheel is a bar that attaches to the seat post of an adult bike. They are great for young riders who are timid about being on their own bikes and/or can't keep up with the rest of the family. It's a great way to keep young riders nearby - and safe. They are best used at leisurely speeds on bike trails or quiet residental roads with bike lanes. This one has 5 gears and a rear derailleur, so it also introduces young kids to the concept of shifting to find the ideal rpms for their little legs. The shifter is built into the hand grip.
